Project Functional Characterization of an endosperm specific promoter p1028 from common buckwheat and transfer of Bwleg1 gene coding for the buckwheat 26 kDa lysine rich seed storage protein to rice for nutritional enhancement of its grain proteins

The project is valid for a period of three years (2011-2014).

Rs. 22000/p.m. + HRA

Essential Qualification: Ph.D in any branch of Life Sciences with good academic records (Ist division).

Desirable Qualification: Strong desire to work on plant and microbial system with good knowledge of routine molecular biology techniques.
