PhD Admissions 2027-2028 @ Yenepoya (Deemed to be University)  

Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) is the first private deemed University in the district of Dakshina Kannada and has been awarded “A+” grade by NAAC. Our vision is to build a knowledge base of highest caliber, the main strength of which is faculty who are critical thinkers, progressive learners and effective communicators with a passion for social and community development, through research. The main objective of this programme is to develop an unparalleled research-based doctoral program of high quality allowing a complementary amalgamation of knowledge bases in the field of Health and Allied Sciences, Arts and Social Science, Commerce and Management, Basic Science, Engineering and Technology. We also emphasize to provide a formal, common platform for research interaction and collaboration among the researchers leading to Ph.D. degree. We strive towards achieving excellence and global competencies among scholars, extending the knowledge acquired and generating new knowledge for the development of the community.  

Yenepoya (Deemed to be university) invites application for admission to the Ph.D. program (January 2027). The Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Programme in various Faculties of Health Sciences, Commerce and Management, Arts and Social Sciences, Allied Healthcare Professions and Engineering and Technology of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University). Details of admission are as follows: 

1.Candidates with a post-graduate degree in Medical / Dental / Nursing / Physiotherapy / Pharmacy/ Sciences / Allied and Healthcare Professions / Ayurveda / Homeopathy / Naturopathy / Arts and Social Science / Commerce and Management/ Engineering and Technology are eligible to apply. 

2.Only applicants who have finished their qualifying degree in all respects will be considered. 3.Applicants should have a minimum of 55% marks (CGPA-6.0) for their qualifying degree. 

4.A limited number of institute stipends will be available for the eligible full time PhD scholars with no other research fellowship. The scholars are also encouraged to find their own fellowships from external agencies so that the Ph.D. program continues uninterrupted. 

5. All candidates (Except UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT/DOE/AYUSH/GATE/ GPAT/MPhil qualified), will need to appear for a qualifying entrance test (Online/Offline) that will be conducted at Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) for short listing candidates for the selection interview. 

6.TA/DA or accommodation will not be provided for the Ph.D. admission procedures. 

7.Outcomes of the qualifying test will be announced within short period of time and selection interview date for shortlisted candidates will be notified. 

8.Provisional registration will be issued to the chosen candidates according to the guidelines issued by Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) for the award of Ph.D. degrees. 

9.All provisionally selected candidates will have to undertake the course work and pass examination to continue their work for Ph.D. One attempt after the regular exam is permitted to pass the course work evaluation. Candidates who are not successful in those attempts will need to exit the Ph.D. program.  

10.How to Apply: Applications should be submitted online. Application Fee (Rs.3,500/-) must be paid online (details enclosed) given in the payment stage and the receipt of the same included with the completed applications. Last date for receiving completed applications is 30.09.2026. Incomplete applications or those with no processing charges will be rejected.
