Anand Engineering College is organizing a three day “National Seminar on Biotechnological interventions in the benefits of mankind”. The objective of the seminar is to acquaint the young scientists, biotechnologists and students community with the “State of Art” in disciplines of Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering and Pharmacy. The interaction would not only broaden their horizon but help in developing strong R&D base in colleges which are not in the vicinity of metropolitan cities.

The three day Seminar Session involves Keynote lectures, Invited lectures and Technical paper presentation, and Poster presentation on:

· Bio-fuels: Specially 3rd generation Bio-fuels.

· Food Processing: Technologies in Public domain/or still in shelves.

· Value added Products: Secondary Metabolites, Microbial, pigments, bio-plastics and pharmaceuticals.

· Bio-pesticides: Microbial pesticides and neutraceuticals.

· Bioremediation: Removal of agro-chemicals and heavy metals & other emerging areas

Participation Fee

Students: Rs. 500

Faculty/Scientists from Academic Institutions: Rs 1000

Industry: Rs 1500

Group Registration (minimum 5 students) would receive 20% discount.

Desk registration fee would be Rs. 600, 1100 and 1600 respectively.

* The fee is inclusive of breakfast, lunch, dinner during seminar and seminar kit.

Call for paper and submission guidelines:

Participants should submit abstracts of original research work previously not published or submitted elsewhere. Paper should be typed in English (MSW) and set in Times New Roman 12 with double spacing. Each submission must include the following:

· Paper title, Author(s) name(s), official/ institutional affiliation(s), postal and e-mail addresses with an indication of the author presenting the paper

· Abstract (not more than 250 words) with a maximum 5 keywords

· Indication of Sub-Theme of the paper

Authors are invited to submit the abstract by email at biotechseminaraec@gmail.com up to 15.12.2011.
