Applications are invited from suitable candidates for one position of Junior Research Fellow in a research program entitled "Cancer Stem Cell Phenotype – Genotype Variables and Chemoresistance" at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, Thiruvananthapuram

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS M.Sc. in Life Sciences or M.Tech in Biotechnology with consistent good academic grades (Minimum of 60% aggregate).

Additional Desirable qualification A valid UGC-CSIR/DBT/ICMR JRF certification and previous documented laboratory experience in cell and molecular biology.

EMOLUMENTS Rs.12,000/- + 20% HRA per month or Rs.16,000/- + 20% HRA for those having valid UGC-CSIR/DBT/ICMR JRF certification.

Duration JRF positions will be initially for two years but extendable by one more year. First appointment will be for six months and extended only after a performance evaluation.

Only those fulfilling the above criteria need apply and in the event of more than 10 candidates being short-listed for selection procedure, a written test will be held. Candidates qualifying in the written test will then be assessed at a selection interview.

As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
