Deciphering the function of Claudins in the nervous system | IISER Mohali JRF Opening

Applications are invited from Indian Nationals to work as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project funded by the DBT Innovative Young Biotechnologist Award (IYBA).

Title: Deciphering the function of Claudins in the nervous system

This project aims to understand the function of Claudins in the C. elegans nervous system. The project will combine C. elegans genetics and behavioural assays with molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry to help us study the role of the Claudins in the nervous system and more specifically at the synapses.

Positions: 1

Duration: 3 years

Emoluments: As per DST rules

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in any branch of Life Sciences with an excellent academic record.
