WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
A walk-in-interview will be held at CENTRAL INSTITUTE FOR SUBTROPICAL HORTICULTURE, at Rae Bareli Road, Telibagh, Lucknow an Institute under Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), for selection of Research Associate, Senior Research Fellow, Scouts and Computer operator as per details given below:
1. NICRA Project on “Understanding flowering phenology and productivity of mango in response to temperature and moisture stress”
(Project Duration: Up to March, 2013 or likely to continue )
Date of Interview : 02.11.2012
Time : 10-30 a.m. onwards
Scout (Two)
Rs. 8000/- per month (fixed)
Essential: Graduate in Agriculture/Botany.
Desirable qualification: Experience in recording of field observation on plants.
Working knowledge of computer.
3. Outreach Project on Phytophthora, Fusarium and Ralstonia Diseases of Horticultural & Field Crops.(Guava (Fusarium spp.) (Project Duration: Up to March, 2013)

Senior Research Fellow (One)
Rs. 16000/- per month (Fixed) + 20% HRA
Essential: Master of Science in Plant Pathology / Botany / Biotechnology / Life Science with minimum 60% marks
Desirable qualification: Working experience on subtropical fruit crop with special reference to fungal diseases. Knowledge of Molecular Biology. Working knowledge of Computer
5. NAIP project “Understanding the mechanism of off-season flowering and fruiting in mango under different environment conditions.” (Project Duration: Up to March, 2014 or till termination of the project )

Time : 10-30 a.m. onwards
SRF (One)
Rs. 16,000/- for Ist and 2nd year Rs. 18000/- per month for 3rd year and 20% HRA per month
Essential: Post Graduate in Horticulture/Plant Physiology/Botany
Desirable qualification:
1. Experience in phonological observations
2. Working knowledge of computer
6. “ICAR Networking Project in Transgenics in crops.” (Project Duration: Up to March, 2013 F. No. 1-1(60)/Estt.

Senior Research Fellow (Two)
Rs. 16,000/- per month (fixed) + 20% HRA
Essential: Potgraduate degree in Biotechnology from recognized University/ Institution with first division
Desirable: NET
Working experience in Genetic Transformation system
Age Limit :
For Research Associate : 40 years for male and 45 years for female candidates.
For Senior Research Fellow, Computer Operator and Scout: 35 years for male and 40 years for female candidates.
Note : Age will be calculated as on the date of interview. Relaxation of age admissible for SC/ST/ OBC candidates as per Govt. of India/ICAR rules.
1. Candidates should bring his/her bio-data original certificates supporting educational qualifications and
experience. Photocopies of certificates, a latest passport size photograph at the time of interview.
2. The above-mentioned position are purely on contract basis and co-terminus with the project. The person recruited will not have any claims for absorption in any capacity after the termination of the project. Duration of project may be increased/decreased.
3. No T.A./D.A. will be paid to candidates for attending the interview.
4. Mode of selection: RA/SRF- Academic Qualification- 50 marks, Experience & Publications – 20 marks, NET/Ph.D clearance as supported by valid certificate – 20 marks and Interview -10 marks.
Computer Operator - Academic Qualification and Computer course- 70 marks,
Experience – 20 marks and Interview -10 marks.
Scout - Academic Qualification- 70 marks, Experience – 20 marks and Interview -10 marks.
5. Canvassing in any from will disqualify the candidature.
6. The Director's decision will be final and binding in all respects.
