WALK IN INTERVIEW

Institute project on “Bioprospecting of microorganisms for sustainable production of second generation liquid biofuels”, Division of Microbiolgy and a Project Assistant under Department of Biotechnology; Govt. of India funded Indo-Denmark Collaborative Project on “High Rate Algal Biomass Production for Food, Feed, Biochemicals and Biofuels” on a purely temporary and time bound basis.

Post Doctoral Fellow

Emoluments: Rs. 18,000 / pm fixed plus HRA (as applicable)
Educational Qualifications:
Essential: Ph. D. in Botany/Microbiology/Agricultural Microbiology/Biosciences/ Life Sciences/Biotechnology with specialization in algae

Desirable: Experience in algal taxonomy, biochemical techniques, interests in biotechnological interventions, algal biofuels , excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of computer and bioinformatics tools.

Project Assistant (one)

Emoluments: Rs. 8000 / pm fixed

Educational Qualifications:
Essential: M.Sc. in Botany/Microbiology/Agricultural Microbiology/Biosciences/ Life Sciences or B.Tech Biotechnology

Desirable: Experience of working on algae and computer knowledge.

Terms and Conditions

*1. Age relaxable by five years for SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-servicemen/woman candidates as per Govt. of India instructions
2. The above positions will be initially for a period of one year or till the termination of project whichever is earlier. The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at this institute as the positions are co-terminus with the project.
3. No objection and experience certificate from the employer in case he/she is in employment
4. Date of interview: The eligible candidates may come for interview at 10.00 AM till 1.00 PM on 17 th December, 2012 along with an application addressed to Principal Investigator in conference room, Division of Microbiology, IARI, New Delhi-12.
