IGSTC Workshop Call 2012

IGSTC invites proposal for organising Indo-German workshop/conference on areas of mutual interest with an aim towards creating platform for substantive interaction between scientists/researchers from academia and industry. The workshop has to take place in India or in Germany and to be designed around a specific research topic of mutual interest (out of chosen thematic fields listed below) with a high potential for generating follow up activities including joint projects of industrial relevance.

Thematic Areas

• advanced manufacturing (advanced materials, design engineering, rapid prototyping, sensors for manufacturing, nanotechnology)
• environmental technologies (water, climate/resources, renewables, sustainable land management)
• medical technology including diagnostics
• logistics research (intelligent transportation, logistic engineering etc.)

Who can apply?

Applicants from research organisations, state and non-slate institutions of higher education, universities, and non-university research institutions are eligible to submit applications.

Funding support

Funding support will be made available towards international/domestic travel for the participants/speakers, accommodation and organisational expenses.

Guidelines

I. Proposal (maximum 16 pages including CVs) should be submitted in the prescribed format (visit www.igstc.org).
2. Proposal to be submitted electronically as a single word document to both (Dr PV Lalitha, IGSTC, Email: lalitha@igstc.org and to Ms Verena Mueller, International Bureau of the BMBF, Germany (IB-BMBF), Email: verenamueller@dlr.de latest by 25th January 2013.
