Advertisement for the Post of Project Assistant

Applications are invited for appointment of purely project based a ‘Project Assistant’
under the theme “Evolving a long term strategy for threat assessment and monitoring conservation status of medicinal plants” under UNDP-GEE-GoI supported project “Mainstreaming conservation and sustainable use of medicinal plant diversity in three states of India”. The duration of the position is three months only, may be extendable if desired and funds are available in the project.

Project Assistant (01 No.) @ Rs. 15,000/-(Fixed per month)

First class masters degree in Botany/ Forestry/Environmental science.

Age Limit: 28 years (relaxable by 2 years is exceptionally experienced cases)

Minimum three years research experience in medicinal plant sector or management of common property resources.

Experience of working with local communities is also desirable.

To gather data on Medicinal plant diversity, species of conservation concern, prevailing threats and conservation measures, training need assessment for measuring threats and other related information in the state of Uttarakhand.

Age Relaxation for SC/ST/Women/PH and OBC as per Govt. norms.

Desirous candidates fulfilling required qualification and experience are encouraged to attend Walk-In-Interview at this Institute on 11-12-2012 at 10.30 a.m. and must bring a copy of their application giving complete personal details, qualification, research and other relevant experience, list of publications etc. Candidates are also required to bring along all original certificates, testimonials, and publications etc. along with photo copy of all the certificates. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The project work required extensive travel.
