Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of one JRF/ SRF/ RA in the project “Cytomolecular analysis of different species of Calathea and Maranta for assessment of phylogeny and affinities as well as micropropagation for improvement and conservation” sanctioned by CSIR [No. 38(1263)/ 10/ EMR-II], under Dr. Sandip Mukhopadhyay (PI), Department of Botany, C.U. The tenure of the project is two years at present.

Qualifications required for:
• RA: M.Sc. in Life Science and must have Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject with
research experience in Chromosome & Molecular market-based plant genome analysis and Plant Cell & Tissue Culture. (Preference will be given to the candidate(s) having publications in Plant Cytogenetic and Genome analysis through molecular techniques or Plant Cell Culture).
• SRF: M.Sc. in Botany with consistently good academic record. At least two years research experience in the field of Chromosome & Molecular market-based plant genome analysis as well as in Plant Cell & Tissue Culture is essential (Preference will be given to the candidate(s) having publications).
• JRF: M.Sc. in Botany with specialization in Cytogenetic/Cell Biology/Plant Biotechnology having consistently good academic record with NET/GATE qualification.
Remuneration will be as per CSIR sanction and norms of host institutions.
