The main objective of the seminar is to uphold our understanding on how bioresources could be used in sustainable human development through utilizing the
latest technologies at the biomolecular level involving microscopy, spectroscopy, crystallography, chromatography, recombinant DNA technology, fermentation and others. Development of useful materials directly from biological sources or by utilizing bioresources or making products applicable in biological systems through comprehensive blending of macro, micro and nano techniques is another way to meet the challenges that confront humanity.
In order to share national thoughts and experiences on these issues, a National Seminar is proposed to be organized on the following themes:
1. Micro-bioresource in Biomolecular Technology
(i) Eubacteria
(ii) Archaea
(iii) Eukaryotic microbe
(iv) Virus
2. Macro-bioresource in Biomolecular Technology
(i) Plant
(ii) Animal
3. Macro-Micro interface applications in Biomolecular Technology
4. Biomaterials
