POSITIONS FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWS

Applications are invited by the undersigned on plain paper from the eligible candidates for TWO posts of Junior Research Fellows in a Department of Biotechnology, Government of India approved research project in this laboratory.

Title of the project: “Host-parasite interaction: Transcriptome responses to parasitism in the silkworm, Bombyx mori”.

Tenure of the project: 3 years

I. Essential Qualifications for JRF:

1. M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Molecular Genetics with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates).
2. B.Sc Degree or Honors in Biological sciences/Zoology/Life Sciences with minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates)

II. Desirable qualifications
1. Preference will be given to CSIR-UGC NET-JRF qualified candidates.

III. Emoluments:

JRF: Rs.12000/- p.m + HRA

Eligible candidates may apply to the undersigned, on plain paper, giving biodata, brief note on the project work carried out during M.Sc. program if any, a passport size photograph, copies of educational qualifications from SSLC onwards, date of birth, NOC from present employer if any, research experience certificate and caste certificate for SC/ST candidates, along with valid e-mail Id and telephone/mobile numbers.

Important points:
1. The last date of receipt of applications: 26 February 2013.
2. Age limit: 28 years as on 02/2/2013 (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and
women candidates).
3. Fresh M.Sc. passed candidates are encouraged to apply.
4. Advance copies of the application may be communicated via e-mail to: sbrl@rediffmail.com (last date:26/2/2013).
5. Only short-listed candidates will be informed to attend interview. Bearing minimum essential qualification will not necessarily be entitled to call for interview.
6. No TA/DA will be provided to attend the interview.
7. The above mentioned positions are purely temporary on contractual basis and are co-terminus with the project. Further claim for any post will not be entertained thereafter.

9. The decision of the Director (I/C) shall be final and binding in all respects.
