Walk-in-in Interview for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Interested and eligible candidates may appear an interview for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the research project titled “Ecology and habitat modelling of wetland birds in the tsunami inundated wetlands of south Andaman” at Andaman and Nicobar Regional Centre, Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair-744 102, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

M.Sc. degree in Wildlife Biology/Zoology/Environmental Sciences with a minimum of 60% aggregate mark from a recognized University

Research experience in bird communities

Rs.12,000/- + HRA as per rules

Duration : Three years

Date and Place of Interview : April 16, 2013 at Zoological Survey of India, Port Blair - 744 102, A & N Islands at 9 00 hrs.

General Instructions:

1. The upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.03.2013. The age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years, as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST.
2. Interested candidates may submit the duly filled-in applications with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications, research experience, proof for date of birth etc., along with copies of mark sheets of all examinations and ‘No Objection Certificate’ from present employer (if employed) to The Officer-in-Charge, Zoological Survey of India, Andaman and Nicobar Regional Centre, Haddo, Port Blair-744 102, Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
3. No travel allowance will be paid to the candidates.

5. The Director, Zoological Survey of India reserves the right to reject any candidature in view of incomplete information provided by the candidate or for any other reason.
