About the Symposium Chitin, its deacetylated form , chitosan and their oligomers offer a wide range of applications in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, as well as agricultural, food and biotechnological uses. The Indian Chitin and Chitosan Society (ICCS) is pleased to invite the scientific community as well as professionals, producers and users either working or interested in science and technology related to chitin and chitosan, to participate in the 3" Indian Chitin and Chitosan Symposium (III-ICCS-2013).

The symposium will take place in CSIR- Institute of Himalayan Bioresource Technology, Palampur - 176061 , Himachal Pradesh on 7-8 June, 2013.

The focus of this national symposium to encourage the active interaction and discussion of the cutting edge advances of the research in chitin and chitosan science in India.

The scientific program will include Plenary, Invited, Oral and Poster presentations.
