EMPLOYMENT NOTICE NO. A-31/2026 

The University invites applications from all over the Country from eligible candidates on prescribed application format for filling- up following vacant posts through direct recruitment. The Application Format can be downloaded from University’s website (www.gbpuat.ac.in). Duly filled applications along with recent passport size self-attested photograph, supporting enclosures (self-attested copies of degree certificates/ mark sheets/ experience certificates, reprints of important publications, etc.) and 

Application Fee of Rs. 1500/- for Unreserved (UR) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, Rs. 1000/- for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates, Rs. 750/- for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates through Demand Draft drawn in favour of Comptroller, G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar payable at State Bank of India, Branch Code No. 1133/ Punjab National Bank, Branch Code No. 4446/UCO Bank, Branch Code No. 0678 should reach by speed/registered post latest by 16.10.2026 till 05:00 PM at following postal address: - “Chief Personnel Officer Office, Personnel Management Section-A (Recruitment Section) Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar District- Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, Pin- 263145” Applications submitted by E-mail/Fax or any Electronic Mode shall not be accepted. Pay-scales: Assistant Professor: Academic Level 10 with rationalized entry pay of Rs. 57,700/- Retirement benefits will be provided in accordance with the State Government orders as amended from time to time and adapted by the university. 

Reservation: The reservation for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Class and Economically Weaker Section* as well as horizontal reservation to sub categories i.e. disabled persons, dependents of freedom fighter, female, ex-army personnel and orphan will be given only to the permanent residents of Uttarakhand as per orders of Uttarakhand Government. Such candidates of other States shall be considered under Unreserved Category. *The Uttarakhand Public Services (Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections) Act. 2019. 

For Horizontal Reservation: If no candidate is available against the post earmarked under the horizontal reservation, except physically handicapped, the post shall be filled through suitable candidate of the original category. However, in case the post remains vacant, it shall be re-advertised with horizontal reservation in the same category. 

Note: The earlier Employment Notice A-28/2025 dated 28.01.2025 for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor/ Professor/ Assistant Librarian/Assistant Director, Physical Education stands cancelled. Accordingly, all eligible candidates are required to submit a fresh application against this Employment Notice No. A-31/2026 along with the prescribed application fee and in format provided with this advertisement (Annexure- I & II). The application fee deposited by candidates against the Employment Notice No. A-28/2025 dated 28.01.2025 shall be refunded and application submitted against that advertisement shall not be considered for this recruitment.
