1. Molecular breeding and selection strategies to combine and validate QTLs for improving WUE and heat tolerance of wheat in India (GCP) PI: Dr. K. V. Prabhu, Head
SRF One
16,000/- + 30% HRA
Essential: 60% or more marks in M.Sc. Plant Breeding/Genetics/ Ag. Botany/ Botany with Plant Breeding and Genetics as a subject.
Desirable: Research experience in molecular marker technology and knowledge of computer applications.
2. Development of double low (Canola Type) Indian mustard (Brassica juncea) through marker assisted selection (DBT) PI: Dr. D.K.Yadava, Principal Scientist
Junior/Senior Research Fellow
Essential: M.Sc. in Plant Breeding/ Genetics/ PB&G/ Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology/ M. Tech. in Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology. NET qualified or with registration for Ph.D.
Desirable: As in Sr. No. 1
Age limit: Maximum age 35 years for SRF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
The post is purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis up to 18 February 2014 (Sr. No.2)/March, 2014 (Sr.No.1), but may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate or till the termination of the project whichever is earlier. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project. The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 02 April, 2013 at 10.00 A.M. in the Chamber of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012.
The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data (signed), original certificates, and self attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview. It may be noted that M.Sc. degree certificate either original or provisional is essential to be brought while attending the interview. The candidate intending to visit for interview, if any of his near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach by 30 March, 2013. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
