Applications are invited for appointment of 2 Project Assistants, along with detailed bio-data with recent passport size photo, relevant research experience and references of publications, testimonial from research guide, with attested copies of relevant documents for the post of Project Assistants approved under UPE Phase II, Focus area : Biotechnology at University of Pune.

Title of the Project : Molecular Characterization of Organisms for Therapeutic Applications

Name of the Post : Project Assistant/s (PA)

Reservation : Open (1), ST (1)

Qualification : M.Sc./M.Tech. in Bioinformatics / Computational Biology / Systems Biology/ Biotechnology / Biochemistry/ Virology / Microbiology/ Bioinformatics/ Botany/ Zoology/ Molecular biology / Genetics with first class or equivalent CGPA.

Desirable qualifications : BINC/DBT-BET/CSIR-UGC NET/GATE qualification Research experience will be treated as additional qualification.

Desired Skill-set: Genome assembly and annotations/Molecular modeling/Molecular Dynamics simulations/Docking simulations/database & server development/data mining. Preference will be given to candidates who have research experience in isolation, purification and characterization of biomolecules.

Project Duration : 4 to 5 years

(The appointment is for 4 to 5 years but initially will be given for one year and will be continued based on the satisfactory research performance of the appointee)

Fellowship : Rs. 16,000/- p.m. fixed
