Applications are invited for the following purely temporary posts (one year only), likely to be extended in the INCOIS (Ministry of Earth Sciences) Project.
Title of Project: “Studies on CDOM variability, structure and affecting factors for improving ocean colour algorithm in the mid-western Bay of Bengal”
Post No. II. Senior Research Fellow: 1 No
(Emoluments: 18,000 pm + HRA)
Essential Qualifications:
(i) I class M.Sc. in Zoology/ Life Sciences, (ii) Minimum 2 years experience as JRF/SRF in marine biological studies relevant to coastal coloured dissolved organic matter, (iii) Minimum 2 publications in reputed journals.
Desired additional qualifications: Knowledge of data analysis with the help of statistical packages, Computer operation and use of MS office
General: The project work requires extensive field work and laboratory analyses of marine samples. The age limit is as per CSIR rules. Candidates intending to appear for the Walk-in interview have to submit their biodata with complete details of educational qualifications, experience, publications and any other relevant information in support of their application on or before 10.00 AM on 12.04.2013 to the undersigned. No TA / DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview. The selected candidates should be prepared to join duty immediately.
