Senior Research Fellow (One)

Essential Qualifications: MSc/MTech-Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life sciences/ Plant Pathology with first class. 2-3 years research experience in Molecular Biology techniques like DNA isolation, PCR, Cloning, DNA sequencing, RT-PCR and knowledge on Bioinformatics tools. JRF/ NET/LS qualified candidates will be given preference.

Responsibilities: The candidate must be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills in English and ability to work in multidisciplinary projects.

Area of Research/ Project: Development of reference DNA barcodes for medicinal plants used in herbal/ traditional medicines in Eastern Ghats.

Emoluments: Rs.14, 000/- or 16, 000/- Pm for – JRF/NET/LS qualified

Duration: 2 years, can be extendable based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

Joiner Research Fellow (One)

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc/M.Tech-Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life sciences/ Plant Pathology with good academic records.

Preference: At least one or two years experience in Molecular Biology techniques (DNA isolation, PCR, cloning, DNA sequencing, RT-PCR, Knowledge on Bioinformatics tools). pre-PhD qualified and JRF/NET/LS qualified candidates will be given preference.

Area of research: The project aims to develop RT-PCR based molecular diagnostic tools for plant pathogens.

Emoluments: Rs.12, 000/- (Fixed).

Duration: 2 years, can be extendable based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

Project Assistant (One)

Essential Qualifications: BSc or MSc appeared in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Botany with good academic records.

Emoluments: Rs 6, 000/- (Fixed)

Duration: 2 years, can be extendable based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
