CSIR-CFTRI invites eligible candidates to appear for a Walk-in-Interview for a position of Junior Research Fellow on a temporary contractual basis in the research project entitled "Health Promoting exopolysaccharide producing lactic acid bacteria from indigenous fermented foods: application in the management of gastrointestinal health" funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi (GAP-426) tenable at the Department of Fermentation Technology and Bioengineering (FT&BE), CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore.

Junior Research Fellow 1 (One)

First Class Post Graduate degree in science with specialization in Biotechnology /Biochemistry/ Microbiology with good academic records and should have been qualified for Lectureship in National Eligibility Test conducted by CSIR-UGC or GATE qualified in M.Tech. in Industrial Biotechnology/Industrial Microbiology / Biotechnology with valid score card.

Rs.12,000 per month for first two years and Rs.14,000 per month in the 3rd year plus HRA as per DST/CSIR Rules.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Candidates should not have exceeded 28 years of age as on 24-06-2013, i.e. the date of walk-in-interview for the position.
  2. The engagement of JRF is exclusively for the above mentioned project.
  3. The engagement will be contractual and on purely temporary basis in the research project funded by Ministry of Science & Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India (GAP-426) for a maximum period of three years and is co-terminus with the project, if the project terminates earlier.
  4. The engagement under externally funded project does not confer any right/claim whatsoever either explicitly or implicitly on the appointee for regular appointment in CSIR/CFTRI, against any post or otherwise under any legal conditions precedent.
  5. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for attending the interview.
  6. Age limit shall be relaxable for statutory groups and women as per rule.

Interested eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview with Bio-data along with original and attested copies of testimonials on 24-06-2013 at 10.30 A.M. in the Department of Fermentation Technology and Bioengineering (FT&BE), CSIR-CFTRI, Mysore. In case, large number of candidates turn up for the interview, the candidates will be short-listed by a duly constituted Screening/Selection Committee and only short-listed candidates would be interviewed.
