International Conference on Nanotechnology (ICNT-2013)

Organized by

Haldia Regional Centre, Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers

Nanotechnology is an engineering of functional systems at the molecular level. Several properties become important as the size of the system decreases. The increase in surface area to volume ratio alters mechanical, thermal and catalytic properties of materials to a great extent. Several important modern techniques (e.g., AFM, SEM etc) are developed based on the concept of nanotechnology. The most common uses of the nanomaterials (i.e., titanium dioxide, silver nanoparticles) are in sunscreen, cosmetics, surface coatings and some food products. The other application areas may be in food packaging, clothing, disinfectants and household appliances and medical applications, etc.

The International Conference on Nanotechnology (ICNT-2013) aims to bring together researchers, industry, workers entrepreneurs and funding agency leaders, in the general area of nanotechnology. It will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, interaction, networking and collaboration for research and development in nanotechnology with special attention to the latest advances in nanotechnology.
