ADMISSION NOTIFICATION 2013-14
Yuvaraja’s college a constituent college of University of Mysore invites application from eligible students who have passed PUC or Equivalent in the prescribed form for admission to the FIVE YEAR INTEGRATED M.Sc. in MOLECULAR BIOLOGY COURSE for the year 2013-2014.
Eligibility: Candidates who have completed two-year Pre University course of Karnataka state or 10+2 or equivalent thereto with science subjects as optionals and have secured at least 45% average marks in the optional papers (5% relaxation for SC/ST) with a minimum of 45% marks in Biology.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. The Prospectus and the Application form may be obtained by paying Rs. 200/- in person in the college office
2. Candidates may also down-load the Application form from the following University/College/Department Websites: www.uni-mysore.ac.in, www.yuvarajacollege.org or www.ycmmb.webs.com and submit the same with a demand draft for Rs.200/- (Two Hundred only) towards application fee, drawn in favour of the Principal, Yuvaraja’s College, Mysore.
3. The candidate seeking admission to 5-Year Integrated M.Sc. course in Molecular Biology shall have to appear for Entrance Examination. Additional fee of Rs.400/- (Rupees Four Hundred only) for entrance examination should be remitted, through a D.D. drawn in favour of the Principal, Yuvaraja’s College, Mysore payable at Mysore be sent along with the filled in application.
4. The filled-in application form in all respects along with necessary certificates and copies of marks cards and certificate relating to caste/ category in case of claim for reservation under such category / caste should be submitted to the Course Co-ordinator, Department of Molecular Biology, Yuvaraja’s College, Mysore - 570005 on or before 22.06.2013 (latest by 4.00 P.M.).
5. The Entrance Examinations for admission to 5-year Inegrated M.Sc. Molecular biology courses will be held on 29.06.2013 at Yuvaraja’s College campus, Mysore - 570 005. Between 12.00pm – 1.00pm. The details are given in the websites
6. No TA/DA will be paid for entrance examination, no separate intimation will be sent to the candidates in this regard. Students should collect admit card for the entrance exam personally from the molecular biology department office on the date of entrance test from 10.30 am to 11.30 am.
7. Merit list will be prepared by taking 50% of the marks scored in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination (PUC/10+2/equivalent) and 50% marks obtained from the Entrance examination
