Blood vessels are the first organ to develop in the embryo and they constitute the largest network in the body. Angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels from pre-existing ones, is an essential step during wound healing. However, when unregulated this phenomenon has deadly consequences affecting multiple organs including the bone. This workshop takes a comprehensive look at the status of research and clinical perspective in the field of wound healing.
