Walk-in-interview will be held in the Division Plant Pathology, Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi 110012 to recruit outstanding personnel for the following posts to work in twin institutional project sponsored by National Fund for Basic, Strategic and Frontier Application Research in Agriculture (NFBSFARA). The eligible candidates may appear for the walk-in-interview on 05th August 2013 at 09:30am along with their complete bio-data. Research Associate (Three Years)

For PhD: Rs 24000/-plus 30% HRA
For MSc: Rs 23000/-plus 30% HRA

Essential (Minimum qualifications): PhD in Plant Pathology or Biotechnology or Genetics or Plant Breeding or Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology/Genetics/ Plant Breeding

(OR)

First Division or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/OGPA in M.Sc (Ag)/MSc /M.Tech Plant Pathology or Biotechnology or Genetics or Plant Breeding or Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology/Genetics/Plant Breeding
with two years experiences in the relevant field

Desirable:

Experience on
1. Hands on experience in Plant pathological AND Molecular Biological experiments
2. Thorough knowledge microscopy/plant tissue culture /Rice and Wheat pathology
3. Proficiency in bioinformatics and molecular sequence data analysis
4. Experience in Genomics/Proteomics/ Metabolomics tools

Senior Research Fellow (Three Years)

Rs 16000/-plus 30% HRA for the first two years (Fixed) and Rs 18000/- plus 30% HRA for third year

Essential (Minimum qualifications): First Division or 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/OGPA in M.Sc (Ag)/MSc /M.Tech Plant Pathology or Biotechnology or Genetics or Plant Breeding or Botany with specialization in Plant Pathology/Genetics/Plant Breeding

Desirable:
1. Hands on experience in Plant pathological AND Molecular Biological experiments
2. Thorough knowledge microscopy/plant tissue culture /Rice and Wheat pathology
3. Proficiency in bioinformatics and molecular sequence data analysis
4. Experience in Genomics/Proteomics/ Metabolomics tools

Terms & Conditions
(i) The age should be maximum 35 years for SRF and 40 years for RA (Relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/Women & 3 years for OBC).
(ii) Applicants with minimum eligibility alone need to send application/appear for interview

(iii) The applicant must submit attested copies of certificates along with application and a brief of research work done vis-à-vis publications in peer reviewed journals during post graduation & present employment and two passport size photographs. Applicant must bring with them original documents at the time of interview for verification.
(iv) All eligible candidates are requested to be present 30 minutes before schedule time on the date of interview for necessaries formalities
(v) No objection certificate from the employer/ university, in case he/ she is in employment elsewhere.
(vi) The selected candidates shall not claim for regular appointments at this Institute as the fellowship/post is purely temporary and co terminus with respective Project/Schemes
(vii) The initial appointment is for one year and the continuation of the RA/SRF will depend upon the progress reviewed every six months by the Principal investigator.
(viii) No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview. Interview will be held on 05 August 2013
(ix) Any other clarifications can be had on the date of interview
(x) The decision of the competent authority will be final and binding in all respects.
(xi) Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidate
