ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POST OF SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW UNDER DST SCHEME ON “EXPLOITING THE POTENTIALS OF KEY VIRULENCE PROTEIN LOA 22 IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A NOVEL DIAGNOSTIC KIT FOR ANIMAL LEPTOSPIROSIS”

A walk-in interview will be held on 08.07.2013, Monday, 11.00 a.m at the Zoonoses Research Laboratory, Centre for Animal Health Studies, Madhavaram Milk Colony Campus, Chennai – 51, for the post of Senior Research Fellow.

Qualification: - M.Sc (Biotechnology /any branch of life sciences/) M.V.Sc Animal Biotechnology / Veterinary Microbiology / Preventive Medicine / Biochemistry)

Age:- Below 30 years

Experience: -

1. Preference will be given for those candidates having experience in molecular biology techniques and related laboratory work
2. Basic Computer knowledge

Duties and responsibilities: -
Work involves,
1. Laboratory work
2. Field work
3. Logistics

Molecular biology, Basic microbiology, serology work with reference to leptospira & Zoonotic pathogens

Location: Zoonoses Research Laboratory, Centre for Animal Health Studies, TANUVAS, Madhavaram Milk Colony Campus, Chennai – 600 051.

Terms and Condition:

1. Duration: 3 years.
2. Purely on temporary basis
3. Salary Rs. 16,000/-p.m + HRA 30%
4. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview
5. Six days work per week

Note: Bring original certificates in support of age, qualification, photo I.D. Card and experience certificate if any.

Written/ oral examination: - A written and oral examination will be conducted on 08.07.2013, 11.00 a.m at the Zoonoses Research Laboratory, Centre for Animal Health Studies, Madhavaram Milk Colony Campus, Chennai – 51.
