WALK-IN INTERVIEW
The Principal Scientist & Head intends to recruit two Senior Research Fellows in the DBT funded project, “Molecular marker assisted development of biotic stress resistant wheat varieties” (one post) and CIMMYT-funded project “Increasing the productivity of the wheat crop under conditions of rising temperatures and water scarcity in South Asia” (one post) purely on contractual basis. The interview of eligible candidates for the above posts will be held on 20 September, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at IARI-Regional Station, Residency Area (Near College of Agriculture), INDORE–452 001 (M.P.). Eligible candidates fulfilling all the requirements should bring their application in the format mentioned below giving full details of academic records and experience along with attested photocopies as well as original copies of relevant documents along with one passport size photograph. Details of the position are given below:

Age limit: Maximum age 35 years (age relaxation by five years for SC/ST and women; and by three years for OBC candidates.
Essential qualification for the post at Sl.No. 1: M.Sc./M.Tech. degree in Biotechnology OR M.Sc. in Plant Breeding and/or Genetics/Agricultural Botany / Life Sciences / Biochemistry.
Essential qualification for the post at Sl.No. 2: M.Sc. (Ag.) in Plant Breeding / Genetics/Seed Technology or M.Sc. in Life Sciences.
Desirable:
(i) Specialization in any branch of the Plant Sciences for the degree holders in Biotechnology;
(ii) Experience of working with field crops; (iii) Basic computer skills.
Emoluments for the post at Sl.No. 1:
(i) M.Sc./M.Tech. + minimum two years research experience + NET–JRF qualified : Rs. 18,000/- + 20% HRA
(ii) M.Sc. /M.Tech. + minimum two years research experience, but not NET–JRF : Rs. 14,000/- + 20% HRA qualified OR M.Sc./M.Tech. + NET-JRF qualified, but without two years years research experience
(iii) M.Sc. /M.Tech. with neither two years research experience nor NET-JRF qualified: Rs. 12,000/- + 20% HRA
Emoluments for the post at Sl.No.2 : Rs. 16,000/- + 20% HRA
The above posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for a period of one year, but may be extended on year-to-year basis, based on performance of the candidate. The candidate shall not claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview. Only the candidates having essential qualification would be entertained for the interview.
