A Junior Research Fellow in a DBT India project.

Applications are invited from M.Sc./M.Tech. graduates in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Pharmacology.

The Computational Biology tasks of the project include:

- generation of 3D structure models of Plasmodium proteins involved in epigenetic regulation, by homology modeling;
- comparison of the structures against human proteins, and search for parasite specific inhibitors by docking studies
- identification of probable sequence and structural motifs/domains accounting for protein substrate specificity in the parasite, and
- development of a tool for prediction of protein families and motifs in Plasmodium species and other related apicomplexan parasites.

Proven research experience in any of the Computational Biology techniques is essential. Only short listed candidates will be invited for an interview at ICGEB. No TA/DA is entitled for attending the interview.

Applications to be submitted to dinesh@icgeb.res.in, marked “Application for JRF DGLAB”.
