Jobs available in a multi-centered, DBT Funded project:
We announce several research positions available under a multi crore (or a large), DBT funded Program on “Head and Neck Oncology” to be initiated from November this year. The proposed program is conceived to address a major need for developing molecular pathway based approach for the clinical management of Head and Neck Cancer – one of the major cancers in the Indian population. The program proposes to achieve this objective by adopting an integrated approach to explore the genome, transcriptome and proteome of tissues and the body fluid, saliva. The Program activities will be jointly coordinated by three institutions, Mazumdar Shaw Medical Center-Mazumdar Shaw Center for Translational Research (MSCC-MSCTR), GANIT Lab (IBAB), Institute of Bioinformatics (IOB) and also supported by Strand Life Sciences, Bangalore.
Applications are invited for various positions as detailed below:
Research Associate (3): Ph D in Life Science with relevant publications in peer reviewed journals and working experience in one or more of the following areas: Omics approaches, Bioinformatics, cell biology.
Senior Research Fellow (3): M Sc with minmum 2 years research experience in any branch of biology. Desirable experience: in ‘Omics and informatics area with programming skills.
Junior Research Fellow (3): M Sc in any area of Biology from a reputed university, with NET qualification.
Project Assistant (2): B Sc with experience or Diploma in Nursing or Clinical Trial Appointments will be done on the basis of CV, Reference letters from mentors and telephonic or personal interview at Bangalore. No travel expense will be provided for attending interview at Bangalore. Selected candidates will be assigned their work in one of the four labs.
