Director, NRC for Grapes, Pune invites application for hiring following short-term
technical manpower purely on contractual basis for the post of Young Professional I & II with the following terms and conditions:
1. Young Professional – I 5 (Five) Posts
B.Sc in any field of Life Sciences All branches of Agriculture/Botany/ Microbiology / Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/Bio-chemistry/ etc) with minimum 1st class or 60 % and above marks as aggregate.
Working Knowledge in Horticulture, agriculture and experience in field work, particularly in grapes.
OR
Knowledge of techniques involved in Soil and plant analysis.
OR
Experience in handling of equipments AAS, flame photometry, UV–Vis spectrophotometer, HPLC, GC etc.
OR
Technical Knowledge of biochemical analysis.
3. Young Professional – II (Life Sciences) 16 (Sixteen) Posts
M.Sc in any field of Life Sciences (All branches of Agriculture/Botany/ Microbiology / Environmental Science/ Biotechnology/Bio-chemistry/Chemistry etc) with minimum 1st class or 60 % and above marks as aggregate.
Working Knowledge in Horticulture, agriculture and experience in field work, particularly in grapes.
OR
Experience on microtomy work.
OR
Experience of basic molecular biology technique and molecular markers.
OR
Knowledge on the analysis of biochemical parameters and residue analysis.
OR
Working experience on collection and maintenance of microbes, fermentation, analysis of physio-chemical analysis of fruits/vegetable, well aware on laboratory techniques etc.
OR
Knowledge on grape diseases and fungicides used for their management.
Working Knowledge / experience in handling ELISA Kits and PCR based studies
AGE LIMIT:
A) Young Professional I & II : Minimum 21 years and maximum 45 years for both men & women as on the date of interview
Emoluments:
A) Young Professional I – Rs. 15,000/- (Consolidated)
B) Young Professional II– Rs. 25,000/- (Consolidated)
Age limit is relaxable by 5 years in case of SC / ST and 3 years in case of OBC.
1. Young Professionals I & II will be engaged for a period of 12 months, which is extendable up to another one year based on needs of the organization and performance of the candidate. However, maximum duration will not be extended beyond two years.
2. The above positions are purely time-bound, non-regular and on co-terminus with the concerned project. The services of the incumbent will stand terminated automatically after the expiry of scheme /duration whichever is earlier and the candidate will not have any right for absorption in NRC Grapes/ICAR / any other schemes.

a. Application form received after 4:30 PM on 20th November, 2013 will be rejected.
b. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
c. Applications without mentioning Sr. no. of the post applied for will be rejected.
d. The candidates who hold the prescribed qualifications only may apply.
e. The Director, NRCG, reserves the right to fix criteria and short list the candidates for written test/interview after due screening of applications.
f. In case of more number of candidates, screening of the candidates will be done based upon the desirable qualification apart from the essential qualification.
g. The final list of the scrutinized candidates selected for written examination / interview will be displayed on 26th November, 2013 only on Institute’s website (http://nrcgrapes.nic.in) along with schedule for written examination / interview. No any other form of communication will be made to the shortlisted candidates.
h. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for written examination / interview on the notified date which will be displayed on the Institutes website (http://nrcgrapes.nic.in).
4. The photocopy of the original & relevant certificates should be attached with the application form at the time of written examination / interview and the original certificates should be produced for verification.
5. Candidates who secure the minimum marks prescribed by the Institute in written test only will be eligible for the interview. The number of candidates to be called for the interview will be decided by the Director of the Institute based on vacancy.
6. The decision of Director, NRCG, would be final and binding in all aspects.
7. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature.
8. No TA/ DA will be paid to attend the walk –in – interview.
