Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Fellow [01 post] to work at Tissue Culture Section on a Department of Atomic Energy / BRNS funded Collaborative Project in Collaboration with Bhabha Atomic Research Center (BARC), Mumbai.

Project Name : 'Use of irradiated chitosan as Biostimulator for Sugarcane and Potato'.

Compen- sation(per month)

Rs.18,000/- p.m.consolidated.

The post is purely on Contract Basis for project period and Co-Terminus with the project.

Starting Emolument:

Approximately Rs.2,16,000/- per annum

Job Profile: Candidate will work for standardization of biostimulator use in in vitro and in field for sugarcane and potato to study effect on abiotic and biotic stress tolerance. Candidate will have to work right from determining the effective dose, biochemical and molecular analysis of the samples in laboratory and field.

 

Candidate Profile & Qualification: M. Sc. in Biotechnology/ Agricultural Biotechnology / Botany from any reputed University.

Experience:

Freshers are eligible to apply.

However, preference will be given to those having experience in plant tissue culture, biochemical and molecular analysis. Project work done in suitable area supported by thesis/ research publications.

If suitable candidate is not available, the same post will be filled with Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position instead of SRF with a fellowship of Rs.16,000 per month consilidated.
