ENZYMOLOGY WORKSHOP
Theme - The course will encompass theoretical as well as practical concepts in the field of ENZYMOLOGY that will help in sharpening knowledge from basics to recent findings. Workshop will include lectures and demonstrations which will be helpful to students for sharpening their knowledge of enzymes as well as for their graduate and post graduate curriculum. The topics of the lectures and demonstrations for the workshop will cover the different concepts of Enzymes like Enzyme Kinetics, Enzyme Regulation, Isoenzymes, Enzyme purification, Restriction enzymes, Metabolic Newborn Screening & Enzyme Deficiency, Directed Evolution of Enzymes, Enzymopathy etc.

Registration starts from: 1st December 2013.
Last date for registration: 10th January 2014.
Workshop period : 18th January 2014 (Saturday) - 19th January 2014 (Sunday).
Duration – The duration of Workshop will be of 2 days.
Eligibility– Students of B.Sc. / B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech (Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Science / Chemistry/ Zoology/ Botany/ Microbiology) / MBBS / BAMS from recognized University / Institute.
Registration / Admission – An application form needs to be filled along with a passport size photograph.
Fully filled in application with DD may be posted to “Coordinator - Enzymology workshop, Biochemistry department, Haffkine Institute for Training, Research and Testing, Parel, Mumbai - 400 012”. Application forms may be downloaded from the institute website (www.haffkineinstitute.org). Admissions are strictly on FIRST COME – FIRST SERVE BASIS.

THE REGISTRATION FEE IS RS. 3000/-
Payable by Cash / D.D. drawn in favour of “The Director, Haffkine Institute”, payable at Mumbai.
[Timings for payment of fees are: 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.]
Fees once paid will not be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.
Haffkine Institute may be reached by train (Harbour line – Shiwdi station, Central line – Parel station, Western line – Elphinstone Road station). Nearest Landmark is KEM Hospital / Wadia Maternity Hospital.
