Walk-In- Interview
The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of Research Fellow in the following project purely on contractual basis. A detail of the position is given below:
DAC-ICARDA funded NFSM Project on Generation advancement and development of new genotypes through pre-breeding in lentil and kabuli chickpea
Senior Research Fellow
Rs 16000/- plus HRA
Essential:
1. M.Sc. in Genetics and/or Plant Breeding/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Botany/ Life sciences (plant) / microbiology(plant)/ Biochemistry
2. Two years of research experience (other than the time spent for M.Sc or Doctoral) (Continuous experience of one year and above at a place will be only considered)
Desirable:
1. Experience in plant molecular genetics and molecular marker analysis as evidenced by thesis work or publications
2. Field Experience in handling mapping populations, breeding material, experimental designs
ICAR network project on transgenics in crops. Functional Genomics (Chickpea Drought Tolerance)
Senior Research Fellow
Rs 16000/- plus HRA
Essential:
1. M.Sc. in Genetics and/or Plant Breeding/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biotechnology / Botany/ Life sciences (plant) / microbiology (plant)/biochemistry (plant)
Desirable:
1. Experience in plant molecular genetics and molecular marker analysis as evidenced by thesis work or publications
2. Handling of software like QTL cartographer, mapmaker etc .
DBT funded project on “Generation of mapping populations and identification of QTL(s) for Downy Mildew Resistance) in Pearl Millet (Pennisetum glaucum (L.) R. Br.)”
Senior Research Fellow
Rs. 12000/- plus HRA
Essential:
1. M.Sc. in Genetics and/ or Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant breeding/ Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology / Biotechnology/ Plant Genetic Resources/ Botany/ Life sciences/ Biochemistry/microbiology from a reputed university
2. NET/ equivalent like GATE qualified
Desirable: Experience in plant molecular genetics and plant biotechnology /crops and molecular marker analysis as evidenced by thesis work or publications
Terms & Conditions
(i) Age limit: Maximum age 35 years for SRF (age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC).
(ii) The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially up to March 2014.
(iii) The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is co-terminus with the project.
(iv) The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 19th December at 10.00 AM. in the Technology Cell, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi 110012.
(v) Reporting time: 9:30 to 10:30 AM
(vi) The candidates will have to bring a signed Application Form in the given format only, original certificates, attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and an attested copy of recent passport size photograph.
(vii) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(viii) Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the interview.
(ix) Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or termination.
(x) The candidate intending to visit for interview, if any of his near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in writing so as to reach by 11th December, 2013. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
(xi) All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed in the format annexed and submit on the date of interview.
