Applications from SC/ST candidates in the prescribed form together with Registration Fee of Rs.750/- are invited for the under mentioned Backlog posts. Candidates should possess the prescribed qualifications as on the date of this notification, and should have also qualified (himself/herself) in the National Eligibility Test in the subject concerned for Assistant Professor posts. The candidates who have appeared for the NET examination during the year 2013 can also apply for these posts. But they should produce the NET qualifying certificate at the time of interview compulsorily. 5% relaxation of marks at the master’s level to the Visually handicapped persons for the post of Assistant Professor is allowed. The registration fee amount should be sent through a crossed Demand Draft along with filled in application form in favour of THE COMPTROLLER, Dr.YSR HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, VENKATRAMANNAGUDEM payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM, WEST GODAVARI DISTRICT, ANDHRA PRADESH on any nationalized bank.

QUALIFICATIONS:-

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture/Agriculture.
  2. A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade.
  3. Should have passed SSC examination or any other equivalent examination with Telugu as one of the subject or should have studied SSC through the medium of Telugu or should have working knowledge of Telugu. Relaxable in the case of inservice teachers of Dr.YSRHU.
  4. NET qualification in concerned discipline.

Selected candidates shall be governed by Dr.YSR Horticultural University (Conditions of Service) Statutes 2007 and they are eligible for new Contributory Pension Scheme of the University and such other conditions as may be prescribed by the University from time to time (other than those who are under ANGRAU service as on 1.9.2004). All the selected candidates are liable to be posted or transferred to any equivalent posts in the State in the same subjects (discipline) in Teaching, Research or Extension under the University.

The University reserve the right not to fill all or any of the vacancies notified. The prescribed applications forms for the above posts can be down loaded from the University website www.drysrhu.edu.in. Such filled in applications along with Registration Fee Rs.750/-(Rupees Seven hundred and fifty only) in favour of Comptroller, Dr.YSRHU should reach the “THE REGISTRAR, Dr.YSR HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, VENKATARAMANNAGUDEM, POST BOX NO.7, TADEPALLIGUDEM – 534 101, WEST GODAVARI DISTRICT, ANDHRA PRADESH” on or before 31-12-2013 at 4.00 PM but the application received after 31-12-2013 at 4.00 PM cannot be entertained. The University is not responsible for late receipt of applications due to postal delay.

GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Persons (SC/ST) who has applied for the post pursuant to the Advertisement No.1/RC/2012, dated.14-9-2012 need not submit fresh application.

2. The applicant should furnish the Medical Certificate from appropriate authority to which category they belongs for Visually Handicapped persons.

3. The discipline to which the Ph.D degree belongs to shall be decided based on the research work carried out by the candidate for his/her degree.

4. For reckoning the required experience for the post, the experience in the concerned subject or discipline in teaching or extension or research shall only be considered as relevant experience.

5. NET qualification is essential for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor or its equivalent post as per the clarification given by UGC/ICAR vide D.O.Lr.No.6-6- 2005-Acdn (Edn), Dated 23-8-2005 of the Secretary & Director Journal, GOI, Ministry of Agriculture and ICAR, New Delhi.

6. The applicants should mention service particulars if they were promoted under Career Advancement Scheme/Merit Promotion Scheme in Employment Record.

7. Certified copies of degree or provisional certificates and marks sheet/Transcripts should be enclosed to the application. The originals shall be brought at the time of interview.

8. While filling up of the application form part ‘B’.

  1. Under item No.2 (meant for details of qualifications) the period of studies should be indicated clearly with date, month and year of joining and leaving studies. If any of the applicants is their M.Sc. or Ph.D by research, it should be clearly indicated.
  1. Under item No.6 (meant for employment record) the details of service rendered by the applicant in different cadres with date, month and year of appointment and scale of pay drawn. The period of study during the service should be indicated clearly.
  1. Service rendered outside Dr.YSRHU if any should be clearly indicated.
  1. A certificate showing proof of service/experience outside Dr.YSRHU should be enclosed.
  1. Enclose 5 sets of Research Publications.

9. Applications other than those in the service of Dr.YSRHU should sent their applications through proper channel so as to reach the University within the prescribed date.
