WALK -IN INTERVIEW
The Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi intends to recruit the outstanding personnel for post of Research Fellows in the following DBT-funded projects purely on contractual basis. Details of the position are given below:
DBT Network Project on
“Rapid conversion of normal inbreds to Quality Protein Maize and further enhancement of limiting amino acids in elite inbreds through marker-assisted selection.”
“Development of micronutrient enriched maize through molecular breeding (Phase-II)”
Senior Research Fellow (SRF) – 2 Posts
Essential Qualification: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant breeding/ Biotechnology/Plant Molecular Biology/ Botany/Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/Equivalent degree.
Desirable Qualification: NET-JRF, research experience in applications of molecular markers, estimation of amino acids and carotenoids.
Terms & Conditions
Age limit: Not more than 35 years. Age relaxation of five years for SC/ST & women and three years for OBC.
1. The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis (1) till 22-09-2014 (termination of the project 1) and (ii) initially for one year (project 2), which may be extended periodically subjected to performance till the termination of the project.
2. The candidate shall not claim regular appointment at this Institute, as the post is
co-terminus with the project.
3. The interview of eligible candidates will be held on 05-02-2014 at 9.30 AM in the chamber of Head, Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi-110012.
4. Reporting time: 9:00 AM
5. The candidates will have to bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, self attested photocopies of all the required certificates from matriculation onwards and self attested copy of recent passport size photograph. The original degree of Master of Science or provisional is essentially to be brought while attending the interview, failing which candidate will not be allowed to attend the interview.
6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
7. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for the
interview.
8. Concealing of facts or canvassing in any form shall lead to disqualification or
termination.
9. The candidates are required to submit the application at the time of interview only in the format annexed along with the declaration
10. The candidate intending to visit for interview, if any of his near or distant relative is an employee of the ICAR/IARI, have to declare his/her name, designation, nature of duties, relationship in advance in writing so as to reach Head, Division of Genetics, on or before 05-02-2014 by post/hand/genmaize@gmail.com. If on the date of interview such declaration is furnished and found that his relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI, such candidate will not be allowed for interview.
11. All the other candidates are also required compulsorily to furnish the declaration duly signed in the format annexed and submit on the date of interview.
