Professor of Fermentation Technology
Essential Qualifications and experience
1. a) Bachelor’s and / or Master’s degree in Food Technology with first class or equivalent CGPA at least at one level from a recognized institute/ university under the faculty of Engineering / Technology. AND 1. b) Doctoral degree in Food Technology / Fermentation Technology / Biochemical Engineering under the faculty of Engineering / Technology / other such cross – disciplinary areas relevant to the field. AND 2. Academic / Research Experience: Ten years, out of which at least five years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent grade. Actively engaged in research and having significant contributions in areas of commercially important biomolecules of microbial origin, food fermentations, downstream processing, other such emerging cross – disciplinary areas relevant to the field. AND/ OR Industrial / Professional Experience: Ten years, out of which at least five years at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent grade. Working at a senior management level with demonstrated capability of handling and executing projects
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Excellent academic record throughout the academic career. Experience of guiding research work at Doctoral level along with high quality peer reviewed published work in journals of international repute / patents. Experience of handling industrial consultancy/sponsored projects.
Associate Professor in Microbiology
Essential Qualifications and experience
1 a) Bachelor’s and / or Master’s degree in Microbiology with first class or equivalent CGPA at least at one level from a recognized institute/ university in the faculty of Science AND 1 b) Doctoral degree in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Molecular Biology / other such cross – disciplinary areas relevant to the field. AND 2. Academic / Research Experience: A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/ or research in an academic/ research position equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research Institution/ industry excluding the period of Ph.D. research. Actively engaged in research and having significant contributions in areas like Molecular Biology and Genetic Engineering with respect to Food Microbiology, other such emerging cross- disciplinary areas relevant to the Institute. AND/ OR Industrial / Professional Experience: Eight years at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent grade. Significant contributions in the areas of Food Safety and Toxicology, Microbial Quality Assurance, etc.

Qualifications and Experience
Experience of guiding research work at Master’s level along with high quality published work in food microbiology and related areas in journals of international repute. Experience of handling industrial consultancy / sponsored projects.
