Applications are invited for the following posts for Department of Biotechnology (DBT) funded project titled “Biomarkers for Risk of TB, TB Treatment Failure and Relapse”, by the Departments of Preventive & Social Medicine, Microbiology and Pulmonary Medicine, JIPMER, Puducherry.

2 Research Assistant 1

Essential: MSc (Microbiology) from any recognized university or institute.

Desirable: 5 years’ experience Sputum culture/ DST, other pathological and biochemical tests.

Coordinate with the peripheral health institutions and the study teams in recruitment of cases.

Coordinate with the clinical and laboratory activities of the project.

Rs. 24000 + 20% HRA for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th year

The walk in interview will be held on 8th March 2014 at 10 AM in the Department of Preventive and Social Medicine, IV floor, Administrative block, JIPMER, Puducherry. The applicants are requested to bring their bio-data, application form in the prescribed format (Annexure 1) and original certificates at the time of interview.

No individual call letters will be sent or TA/DA paid for attending the interview.

NOTE:

1. Duration of the post: for a period of 1 year (can be extended upto 4 years)
2. Age relaxation as per Government of India rules
3. For experienced candidates in the same field, age may be relaxed
4. Decision of the Principal Investigator will be final.
5. The posts are purely on contract basis for an external sponsored project, and no claim for any other post in JIPMER shall be entertained.
6. Valid email id and mobile number is compulsory.
7. Qualification, experience, other terms and conditions may be relaxed / altered at the discretion of the Project Investigator.
