The School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University is organizing Summer School under the UGC Resource Network Outreach Programme. Applications are invited from students pursuing graduate or post-graduate studies in any branch of science or technology (B.Sc., B.Tech., M.Sc., M.Tech., M.B.B.S., BE) for participation in this Summer Research programme being conducted from 26th May, 2014 to 4th July, 2014 at the School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University. The objective of this programme is to motivate and stimulate young and creative minds to pursue a career in science.
The summer school would include talks from experts in the field of modern biological sciences and hands-on experiments. Each participant will be assigned a mentor in the School of Life Sciences for pursuing research training.

Application Procedure: Application on plain paper forwarded by respective Head of the Department along with the curriculum-vitae and a one page write-up on what interests you in science is mandatory. The hard copy of the complete application with e-mail ID and contact number must reach the office of the Dean, School of Life Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi – 110 067, latest by 24th April 2014.
• Softcopy application if any without supported by hardcopy by the due date will not be considered.
• Preferences will be given to the first year M.Sc. and second year B.Sc. students.
• Selection will be done on the basis of merit. Due preference will be given in selection to maintain regional / national representation including remote areas.
• It is mandatory to attend the programme for the entire duration. Once joined no request for excuse will be entertained.
Travel grants: Selected candidates joining from outside Delhi will be provided with non-AC sleeper class train fare. Organizers regret for not being able to provide accommodation.
