WALK-IN-INTERVIEW
The Walk-in-Interview for the positions of Research Associates/Senior Research Fellows and Junior Research Fellow in below mentioned project will be conducted at this Institute on the date/time and venue and other details shown against positions on contractual basis, which is co-terminus with the project/scheme. The eligible candidates are invited to appear before the Selection Committee for Walk-in-Interview at NDRI, Karnal.
1. DBT Research Project “Establishment of facilities for research and Training in Stem Cell Technology in Pigs” under Dr. M.S. Chauhan, PS, ABTC, NDRI, Karnal.
JRF 01 (One)
Rs. 16000/-per month + HRA for 1st two years, and Rs. 18000/- per month + HRA for the 3rd year & 4th year (for NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified)
OR
Rs. 12000/- per month + HRA for 1st two years, and Rs. 14000/- per month + HRA for 3rd & 4th years (without NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified)

Essential Qualification: M.Sc/M.V.Sc Degree in Animal Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/allied Sciences.
Desirable: Experience in animal tissue culture, IVF experience on goat/buffalo with relevant Molecular Biology techniques.
2. AMAAS Research Project “ Microbial Diversity of BIO-FILMS in Dairy Niche” Under Dr. R.K. Malik, Head & PI, DM Division, NDRI, Karnal

Essential: M.Sc/M.Tech in Microbiology / Medical Microbiology /Dairy Microbiology /Biotechnology /Biochemistry/ Food Microbiology /Food and Microbial Technology.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in bioprospecting bacteria from different microbial niches and use of microbiological and molecular techniques for study of Microbial Diversity. Preference will also be given to those having qualified NET (CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ARS) and having one-year research experience in the relevant area.
3. DBT Research Project “Microbial diversity of industrial waste polluted sites of Punjab: Biogeochemical interactions for recycling of metals and degradation of pollutants” under Dr. A.K. Puniya, PS & PI, DM Division, NDRI, Karnal

4. DBT Project entitled “Diversity study of CLA producing indigenous Butyrivibrio spp., its subsequent utilization as probiotic for animals and gene expression pattern of enzymes involved in biohydrogenation of fatty acids” under Dr. A.K. Tyagi, PS, DCN Division, NDRI, Karnal.

5. ICMR Research Project “Screening probiotics and prebiotics for expression of Glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1), satiety inducing hormone, as prophylactics against Diabetes Mellitus-2” Under Dr. (Ms.) Sunita Grover, PS & PI, DM Division, NDRI, Karnal.

Essential: M.Sc/M.Sc (Hons)/ M.V.Sc /M.Tech in Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Dairy Microbiology/ Food Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Genetics/Life Sciences or any other allied disciplines with two years research experience in the relevant area.
Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in the area of handling of human cell lines (Tissue culture) and hands on experience in routine techniques in Molecular Biology and Microbiology like handling of bacteria, DNA and RNA isolation, PCR and Real Time PCR. Preference will also be given to those having qualified NET (CSIR/UGC/ICAR/ARS).
Age Limit: 40 year for Men and 45 years for Women in case of Research Associate on the date of interview.
35 year for Men and 40 years for Women in case of SRF on the date of Interview.
30 year for Men and 35 years for Women in case of JRF on the date of Interview.
(Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and PHC as per GOI/ICAR rules)
The above positions are purely temporary and will be filled in on Contractual basis. The selected candidate shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the engagement is co-terminus with the Project/Scheme. Interested candidates may attend Walk-in-Interview on the dates as indicated against each project/scheme along with original certificates and typed bio-data with one set of attested copies of each their certificates with passport size photograph. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
All eligible candidates are advised to be present at least 30 minutes before scheduled time on the date of interview for completing necessary formalities. Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidates.
Note: (1) Those candidates who are already working in any project/scheme/organization
Should bring “No Objection Certificate” from his present employer.
(2) On the date of Walk-In-Interview required Degree Certificate should be in hand.
