WALK IN INTERVIEW
Walk-in-Interview for the selection of Senior Research Fellow (one post) and Junior Research Fellow (one post) will be held on 27.05.2014 (Tuesday) at 11.00 AM. The posts are purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with the project. Eligible candidates may attend the Walk-in-Interview at the above address.
Name of the Project : ICAR funded Project entitled “Phytophthora, Fusarium & Ralstonia Diseases of Horticultural and Field Crops (WILT)”.
Duration of the Project : Three years.
Name of the Post : Senior Research Fellow
Number of Post : One
Fellowship : Rs.16,000.00 + HRA @20% per month for the first two (as per DBT guidelines) years and Rs.18,000.00 per month for the third year
Essential Qualification : First class in M.Sc. or M.Phil or Ph.D. in Agricultural Biotechnology / General Biotechnology with specialization in Microbiology / Plant Pathology or M.Sc (Agri) or Ph.D. on Plant Pathology with specialization in Biotechnology.
Desirable : Experience in Biotechnological works and computer skills
Name of the Project : DBT project entitled “Molecular approaches for the Control of Odoiporus longicollis (Oliver), a major pest of bananas”.
Duration of the Project : Till September 2015.
Name of the Post : Junior Research Fellow
Number of Post : One
Fellowship : Rs.14,000.00 + HRA @20% per month
(as per DBT guidelines)
Essential Qualification : First class in M.Sc.(Agriculture Entomology) / (Zoology) with specialization in Entomology / M.Sc (Life Sciences).
Desirable : Knowledge on insect roaring, to undertake field studies.
General Terms and conditions:
1. Age limit: Not more than 35 years for men and 40 years for women.
2. The above position is purely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. There is no provision for re-employment after termination of project. The selected candidate will not have any right for claiming pay scale or absorption against any regular post being vacant on a later date at this institute.
3. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview.
Candidates attending the Walk-in-Interview should neatly type the application in the format prescribed in MS-WORD – TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT – 12 SIZE and submit the same along with attested copies of educational qualifications, experience and publications etc. at the time of attending the Walk-in-Interview. Original certificates should also be brought for verification at the time of Walk-in-Interview. Candidates already working should produce “No Objection Certificate” in case he / she is employed elsewhere.
