WALK – IN – INTERVIEW to engage Project Associate

The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier national autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoE&F), Government of India in the field of teaching, training and research. The WII wishes to engage 01–Project Associate (Indian National only) for a two month short period to assist in conduct of ‘Stakeholder Consultation’ during July 2014 on `Human-Wildlife Conflicts and Management of Invasive Species’ at the Institute. The Project Associate shall be engaged through a walk-in-interview to be conducted on Friday, 20th June 2014. The details of the available position along with essential and desirable qualifications, terms and conditions and how to apply are given below:

Workshop on ‘Human-Wildlife Conflicts and Management of Invasive Species’.

(01 – Project Associate)

Duration: Two months.

Essential Qualification Candidate must possess Masters Degree in Zoology/Botany/Wildlife Science/Environmental Science/Biological Science/Life Science from a recognized University with 60% aggregate marks.

Desirable Qualification Candidate with substantial research experience in human-wildlife conflicts and management of invasive species with published research work to their credit will be preferred.

Description of Work To assist in conducting the Stakeholder Consultation’ during July 2014 on `Human- Wildlife Conflicts and Management of Invasive Species’ at WII and develop appropriate workshop material, report and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for conflicts and invasive management.

GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Candidate(s) possessing Masters’ Degree shall only be eligible to appear for the walk-in-interview.
Candidates appearing in the final year of Masters’ Degree Program will not be eligible to apply for the advertised positions.
2. Age of the candidate shall not be more than 40 years for the advertised position as on Thursday, 19th June 2014 and upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years, as in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and Women categories.
3. Selected candidate shall be paid a consolidated emolument ranging between Rs. 16,000/- to Rs. 25,000/- per month as fellowship based on the qualification & research experience of the candidate.
4. The selection will be based on Walk-in-Interview to be held on Friday, 20th June 2014 at the Wildlife Institute of India (WII), Dehra Dun and the registration for the advertised position will be done from 09:00 to 10:00hrs on 20th June 2014 at WII. Applications of late entrants will not be entertained for the registration.
5. Canvassing in any form is liable to rejection of the candidature.
6. Candidate(s) should bring the duly filled-in applications with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications, research experience, extra-curricular activities, date of birth etc., along with copies of mark sheets of all examinations. All original documents should be produced at the time of registration.
7. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.
