1. Development of molecular laboratory for analysis of purity of germplasm of Basmati
rice and other seeds
Senior Research Fellow (one)

M. Sc. Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology /Plant Breeding & Genetics *
1. Ph.D. in concerned subject
2. NET/GATE
3.Knowledge of handling molecular laboratory equipments and computer applications
* Plant Breeding & Genetics candidates shall have experience of molecular techniques supported by their thesis work or publications.
Terms and Conditions for projects are as under:-
I. The candidates shall have no legal right to claim his/her regularization/appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post or
II. Any further contractual engagement as the scheme is purely time bound, non-regular and co-terminus basis with the scheme/project. The services of the incumbent shall stand terminated automatically on expiry of the period of the project.
The application should reach the office of Coordinator, School of Biotechnology, SKUAST-J, Chatha, Jammu-180009 (J&K) along with attested copies of the certificates on or before 04.07.2014.
The candidates who have already applied for this post need not to apply again. These positions are purely temporary to be filled initially for a period of six months or till life of the project, further extension of six months each shall be granted on the basis of performance of the appointee. The engagement stands terminated on the completion of the projects with no claim on the permanent absorption in this University. Only eligible candidates will be informed about the date, time and venue of interview later on. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
