WALK IN INTERVIEW
The Director, National Research Centre on Pomegranate (ICAR), Solapur, Maharashtra proposes to fill up following temporary and time bound vacant position under the different project on the basis of WALK IN INTERVIEW for the period of six month which may be extendable further depending on availability of fund and satisfactory performance of the candidate. The post is purely temporary and coterminus
with the project. All desirous and eligible candidates fulfilling all the requirements are invited to appear before the selection committee for personal interview at National Research Centre on Pomegranate, Solapur on 29.09.2014 on 10.00 AM. Candidate reporting after 11.00 AM will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
Project Name: Flagship project on, „Integrated Approach to Eradicate Pomegranate Bacterial Blight.‟
1. Research Associate (1 Post)
Rs 23000/-fixed + HRA to Master Degree Holder and Rs. 24000/- fixed + HRA to Ph. D degree holder in the relevant subject
40 yrs for Men and 45 years for women
1. Ph. D degree in Plant Pathology
OR
2. M.Sc. in Plant Pathology or Agriculture/Botany /Life Science with specialization in Plant Pathology or equivalent degree in relevant field from recognized university/Institute with 1st Division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point, with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from fellowship / Associateship/Training/other engagements.
Published Research papers, Sound knowledge of biotechnological techniques, computer
applications and statistical analysis.
Good Communication and writing skills Spoken and written knowledge of English.
Conducting and monitoring of experiments, Data Collection, compilation and statistical analysis, preparation of documents on computer.
2. Research Associate (1Post)

4. Senior Research Fellow (1 Post)

M. Sc. in Agriculture/ Horticulture/Plant Breeding & Genetics/Botany from recognized University
Work experience in ICAR Institutes or SAUs with good working knowledge of computer application in agriculture.
Spoken and written knowledge in English/Marathi/Hind, Conducting field trials in horticultural crop production, Literature and data collection, compilation, analysis and preparation of documents on computer.
5. Technical Assistant (1 Post)
Rs. 10000/- (Fixed)

B. Sc Agriculture/Horticulture From recognized university
1. B.Sc (Botany, Zoology, Chemistry group)/ B.C.S/BCA from recognized university
2. Knowledge of computer application with a English typing speed of 30 words/min
Recording of data, supervision of field experiments, compilation of data and other works related to the project.

6. Senior Research Fellow (1 Post)
Rs.16000 +HRA/month for 2 yrs and 18000+HRA for 3rd yr
35 yrs for Men and 40 years for women
M.Sc. in Entomology (Agriculture/Horticulture/Botany/Life Science with specialization in Entomology or equivalent degree in relevant field from recognized University/Institute
Relevant research experience, sound knowledge of Computer application and data analysis
Spoken and Written knowledge of English. Conducting and monitoring of experiments in the field of entomology. Data compilation analysis and preparation of documents.
Project Name: “Demonstration of model pomegranate production practices for effective management of bacterial blight”
7. Supervisor (3 Post)
Rs. 15000/- (Fixed)
35 Yrs
Diploma/Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Computer Application from recognized institute/organization/university
Supervise and assist in various filed operations in implementing IDIPM schedule at farmer‟s field monitoring orchards, recording of observations, data entry and compilation and preparation of reports
Project Name: Micronutrient management in horticultural crops for enhancing yield and quality
8. Senior Research Fellow (1 Post)
Rs.16000 +HRA/month for 2 yrs and 18000+HRA for 3rd yr
35 yrs for Men and 40 years for women
M.Sc. Agriculture/Horticulture/Soil Science/Chemistry/Bio-chemistry
Work experience in soil and plant analysis/Chemical or Biochemical analysis and knowledge about various instrument used in soil and plant analysis, data entry and analysis
9. Skilled Worker (2 Post)
Rs. 10000/- (Fixed)
35 yrs for Men and 40 years for women
Diploma/Graduation in Agriculture/ Horticulture or any other relevant field
Work experience in collection and processing of soil and plant samples for analysis, lying out of experiment, recording of observation etc.
Terms and Conditions:
1. The above position is purely on temporary basis and is co-terminus with the project. There is no provision of re-employment after termination of project. Selected candidates can be discontinued owing to administrative reasons at any time by issue of one month‟s notice or one month‟s emoluments in lieu thereof. They may also leave the assignment on their own violation, by giving one month‟s notice.
2. Above Age limit Relaxable to SC/ST/OBC as per Govt. of India rules.
3. No TA, DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. The applicants must bring with them original documents along with duly filled in application form (Annexure-I), one passport size photograph and one set of photocopy of related documents at the time of interview failing which he/she shall not be allowed to appear in the interview.
5. No objection certificate from his employer and experience certificate in original should be produced at the time of interview.
6. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
7. The decision of Director, NRCP, would be final and binding in all aspects
