WALK - IN - INTERVIEW for Project Assistant

A walk in interview will be held on 15th September 2014, to select the candidate for the post of Project Assistant for the DST-SERB (Fast Track Fellowship Scheme) project entitled “Development and characterization of transgenic cotton plants (Gossypium hirsutum L.) with rice ALMT1 gene under the control of Aluminum stress responsive promoter (MATE) for acid soil tolerance studies” to work under Dr.M.Ganesan, Department of Biological Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata.

Project Assistant

QUALIFICATION : M.Sc. in Plant Biotechnology / Plant Biology / Plant Science / Botany with minimum 55% marks.

DESIRABLE : First Class in M.Sc. Plant Biotechnology / Plant Biology / Plant Science / Botany with specialization in Tissue culture and/or genetic engineering.

Monthly Salary : Rs.8,000/- consolidated (fixed)

Date of Interview : 15-09-2014

Age limit : 28 years as on the date of interview. Relaxation of age admissible for SC/ST & OBC candidates as per Govt. of India norms.

Instructions to the candidates

a) Interview registration will begin at 10.00 am and will close at 1.00 pm on 15-09-2014.
b) The candidates should bring a copy of bio-data, original certificates, one set of photocopies of certificates, research/training experience certificates if any, NOC from the current employer, and latest passport size photograph at the time of interview.
c) The above positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project.
d) No TA/DA for any candidate to attend the interview.
e) The PI’s decision will be final and binding in all aspects regarding the selection to the post.
f) Appointment will be for one year and further extension will be granted based on the research progress and accomplishments subjected to annual review (Project duration:3 years).
