Walk-in-Interview
Position: One Research Associate (RA)/ Senior research fellow (SRF)/ Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under Emeritus Scientist scheme CSIR
CSIR (ES) research project entitled: “Climatic stress adaptations in drosophilids: Impact of global warming in the western Himalayas”
Minimum qualifications:
For RA: Doctorate/thesis submitted (PhD/MD/MS/MDS) or equivalent degree OR having 3 years of research experience after MSc/MVSc/MPharm/ME/MTech. The candidate should have minimum four international publications in peer-reviewed Journals each having an impact factor of more than 2 (or cumulative impact factor more than 6).
For SRF: NET/GATE qualified with M.Sc./BE/B. Tech. (Life Science subjects) with specialization in Genetics/ Biochemistry / Molecular Biology with 55% marks. The candidate should have minimum two years of research experience in the relevant field with publications in peer-reviewed Journals.
For JRF: NET/GATE qualified with M.Sc./BE/B. Tech. (Life Science subjects) with specialization in Genetics/ Biochemistry / Molecular Biology with 55% marks.
Preference will be given to the CSIR-NET qualified candidate with theoretical and practical knowledge of Drosophila handling and experimentation. Candidates having research publication in the concerned field would also be preferred.
Salary: As per guidelines of CSIR-ES project, New Delhi.
Age Limit: 28 years for JRF and SRF and 35 years for RA as on the last date of receiving application (5 years relaxation for female/SC/-ST/OBC candidates).
Candidates will be governed by the rules and regulations of CSIR.
All qualifications being equal, the SC-ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

The candidate will work in the laboratory of Dr. Ravi Parkash Emeritus Scientist (CSIR).
