Qualification: PhD degree in Life Sciences.
Experience:
Seeking an experienced postdoctoral candidate to generate a large number of transgenic organisms and to perform forward and reverse genetic screens. The candidate should be well experienced with genetic screens, should be able to operate and analyze data from light and fluorescence microscopes including confocal microscopy.
The candidate should be well versed with various basic and advanced cell biology techniques like fixed and live-cell imaging, FRET, FRAP, FLIM etc.
Applicant should also be skilled in recombinant protein expression and RNA interference experiments in eukaryotic cell lines. Experimental skills in various molecular biology techniques including cloning, SDS-PAGE, western blotting is a must.
The applicant should have a minimum of three years of post-PhD work experience in a reputed research laboratory in India or abroad and should have demonstrable experience in the relevant research methods described above. Applicants should have a minimum of three research papers supporting the requisite research experience in well reputed peer-reviewed journals and should be a first author in at least one of these papers.
Age limit: 35yrs or below. A relaxation of 5 yrs will be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and women candidates.
Salary: According to DBT norms and based on the experience of the candidate
Duration: Initial appointment for one year (extendable for additional two years based on performance review)
