Short term training course on Molecular Endocrine Techniques

The Department of Endocrinology, Post Graduate Institute of Basic Medical Sciences, University of Madras, Taramani, Chennai 600 113 is organizing a DBT-sponsored course for mid-career scientist involved in UG and PG teaching in Life Sciences and Biotechnology. The proposed training programme will provide the participants a better understanding of principles, methods and application of Molecular Endocrine techniques. Participants will be provided hands on training in ELISA, Cell culture technique, Western blotting, Real time PCR, Methylation-specific PCR, ChIP assay, etc. The course would be of lectures by faculty members and technical experts followed by practical/hands on session.
How to apply: Candidates holding regular positions in colleges/universities/research institutes may apply. No course fee will be charged from the selected participants. The applicants have to be sponsored by their own institutions. 50% of non-sponsored participants of public funded institutions will be paid TA as per DBT-STTC guidelines. Accommodation will be arranged on request.
