Plant Metabolomics: Methodology and Applications

A one-day Brain Storming Session on ‘Plant Metabolomics’ supported by SERB, DST, would be held to review the progress of research and provide a platform for potential Project Investigators (PIs), interested in plant metabolomics. Two members of PAC would monitor the proposals and facilitate their evaluation for funding by SERB-DST. The Brain Storming Session will have two components:

(i) Invited lectures; and (ii) Concept notes from possible PIs, selected based on their concept notes.

The possible topics include: Methods of extraction; Measurement techniques; Identification of metabolites/validation; Target plants – Model plants, crops and medicinal/aromatic plants; Metabolic modulations.

Interested Faculty from universities and scientists from research institutions, who are interested in submitting proposals (as PIs) may apply with a concept note on a A4 sheet, with the following details:

1. Current research and expertise of applicant (limit 150 words).
2. Relevance of Plant Metabolomics to his/her research (150 words).
3. Proposed topic of research (max. 250 words)
4. Brief CV (one page), with complete postal address/e-mail/Tel. no. of applicant.
5. Publications (max. of 10).
