Desirable: Experience in chemical ecology including extraction, purification of semiochemicals/ Phytochemicals, instrumentation skills including GC, MS, HPLC and electrophysiology (EAG, GC-EAD) Computer Operation with office documents.
Responsibility: To carry out bioassays, to isolate, Identify, Characterize active biofractions by gas chromatography linked to electrophysiology (GC-EAD) and identification of chemicals by gas chromatography (GC-MS), EAD analysis, olfactometer and field validation, to synthesis the compound and evaluate in the field to confirm the potential of chemical in the control of insect borers.
