Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) on a temporary contractual basis for a Grant-in-Aid Project entitled “Exploring the Dynamics of Pancreatic Peptide Membrane  Interactions through Nano-scale Imaging: Implications on Type II Diabetes Mellitus” tenable at Centre for Emerging Technologies, Jain University funded by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India under the Fast Track Scheme.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Chemistry with First Class (preferably with Organic / Physical  Chemistry Specialization) or M.Tech. in Nanotechnology with a Bachelor's Degree in  Biotechnology.

Note: Candidates with experience in biochemical studies and good knowledge of  instrumentation will be preferred

Duration of the Project: 3 years

Emoluments: Rs.16, 000/- + HRA for the first 2 years as JRF and subject to satisfactory performance may be upgraded to Rs. 18,000/- + HRA for the third year as SRF.

Incomplete applications or those that do not meet the minimum criteria will not be considered

The position is purely temporary and will be terminated at the end of 3 years or with the completion of the project

Mere fulfillment of qualifications / experience requirements does not entitle a candidate
to be called for interview. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview and
No TA / DA will be paid to attend the interview

Candidates should produce original testimonials / certificates, as a proof of the details furnished in their application, at the time of test / interview for verification, failing which
they will not be allowed to appear for test / interview

The selected candidates shall have to execute an undertaking legally enforceable to the effect that they shall have to work for complete 3 years or till the completion of the project. In case, they decide to leave earlier, they have to refund all the dues they would have drawn as monthly salary up to the time of leaving their assignment in one go
