Biotechnological approaches for improving rice crop productivity | Panjab University JRF Walk IN

Applications on plain paper are invited for one post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for DST sponsored Research Project entitled “Biotechnological approaches for improving rice crop productivity for saline regions of Punjab”.

The project is tenable up to one year and further extension of one and half years is contingent to progress of the work. The application on plain paper giving detailed biodata along with attested copies of the testimonials should reach the undersigned by 29th Nov, 2014 upto 5:00 pm. The interview would be held on 2nd Dec, 2014 at 11:00 am in the office of Coordinator, Biotechnology Branch, UIET, Sec. 25-B, Panjab University, Chandigarh. No T.A. & D.A are permissible for appearing in the interview.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Tech. in Life sciences/Biotechnology with at least 55% marks.

The candidate with M.Sc. (LS-NET) qualification or M. Tech (Biotechnology) will be paid Rs. 12000/p.m + HRA while candidate with JRF-NET will be paid Rs. 16000/p.m + HRA.

Desirable: Prior knowledge of microbial culturing, molecular biology and cloning is mandatory.
